Adidas Copa Mundial Soccer Shoe

It should come as no surprise that soccer players can get attached to their boots. Lucky boots, fast boots, good for rain, good for pain. The wrong boots can turn a great game into a miserable day at the park, and the right boots can give someone the confidence to score.

I love going to soccer stores, the shoes get crazier every year. However, when buying a new pair of shoes I always fall back on the venerable Adidas Copa Mundial. These shoes just work for me. While not fancy, they fit like a glove, are lightweight and still work well on all but the muddiest field.

I wish I had kept track of how many pairs of these I bought over the years. I know two pairs that met their fate on the roof of my car. Amazingly in both cases I found one shoe, however both were lefties.
